CRAIG LARSEN, CFP®, ChFC, FOUNDER/PRESIDENT

Craig Larsen, CFP®, ChFCCraig graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a BS in Finance and began his career in 1987 working on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and Chicago Board of Trade for Cargill Investor Services. While there he managed trading for investments that spanned the globe.

In 1995, he built upon his experience and founded AHC Advisors, Inc., with a focus on being a trusted fiduciary advisor to pension funds, individuals and business clients. He built his financial planning company on the foundation of being a fee-only investment advisor from the start. This enables AHC to deliver completely independent and objective investment advice and financial planning services. AHC serves clients in the suburbs of Chicago, locally in Saint Charles, Geneva, and Batavia.  AHC also has an office in Des Moines, Iowa.

Professionally, Craig serves as the President-Elect for the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Illinois, after serving as the Treasurer.  The FPA of Illinois is the largest Financial Planning Association chapter in the country with nearly 1000 members. He also is a member of the National Association of Professional Financial Advisors (NAPFA). Craig is a CFP® Professional and a Chartered Financial Consultant.

Craig is member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors and the Financial Planning Association. Both of these organizations advocate helping investors by requiring that anyone that calls themselves out as a financial planner is held to a Fiduciary standard. In fact, both the FPA and NAPFA, along with the CFP Board have long advocated that financial planners should be held to a fiduciary standard at all times.

CFP professionals are required pass both a comprehensive 10 hour, two day, CFP® Certification Examination, and the CFP Board’s Candidate Fitness Standards, as well as agree to abide by CFP Board’s Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility which puts clients’ interests first. CFP® certificants are required to complete 30 hours of continuing education every two years.

As a member of NAPFA, Craig is required to submit a comprehensive financial plan for peer review and complete 60 hours of continuing education in six subject areas every two years.  A NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor must sign and abide by the NAPFA Fiduciary Oath, a commitment to working solely in the client’s interest at all times.

Craig is also very active in his community.  Craig is a a member of the board of directors of both the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce and TriCity Family Services.  Craig is also a member of the Downtown St. Charles Partnership, and serves as the chairperson for the St. Charles Holiday Homecoming and St. Patrick’s Day parades.  He has also coached youth baseball and soccer and has held numerous leadership posts in his church.  Starting in early 2006 he organized and led several week-long trips to Louisiana to help rebuild following Hurricane Katrina. He is married, has four children and enjoys making wine and learning to play guitar in his free time.

 

JORIE PITT, CFP®, ASSOCIATE FINANCIAL PLANNER

Jorie graduated from the University of Illinois, Champaign which she attended as a Chick Evans Scholarship recipient.  Subsequently, she pursued the Certified Financial Planner™ designation and received the marks in 2008.

Jorie is passionate about building well-designed financial plans for each client who comes to AHC Advisors.  She enjoys getting to know each client personally and helping to guide them towards making sound financial decisions.  The combination of meeting great people and making a positive contribution to their lives results in a very fulfilling career.

PAIGE MUELLER, CLIENT SERVICE SPECIALIST

Paige has over 20 years of experience in the fields of customer service and administration.   She has a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in business management.

Paige handles appointment scheduling at AHC, customer service requests and makes sure client needs are addresses.  She takes pride in her excellent attention to detail.  Paige enjoys being part of a process that offers helpful solutions for each client at AHC.  She strives to ensure the details of our client’s unique needs are handled efficiently, and with care.

Paige is married and has two children.  She enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor activities, traveling and photography.
